The movies leaving Hulu this month

September marks the official end of summer—temperatures are cooling down, leaves are beginning to change color, and kids are heading back to school. But that's not the only thing this autumn is ushering in. As the seasons shift, Hulu readjusts its programming, with 20 movies disappearing from the popular streaming platform this month.

There are many reasons a movie might leave Hulu, from its rights no longer being available to its popularity no longer justifying the licensing costs, for example. Whatever the reason, you don't have long to catch these 20 movies before they're gone.

One of the biggest upsets of the month might be the departure of the 2020 coming-of-age dark comedy "Dinner in America." This film, starring Kyle Gallagher as an on-the-lam punk rocker and Emily Skeggs as the young woman obsessed with his band, gained a cult following after it was rediscovered and its resurgence blew up across TikTok last year. So if you still have watched it, you only have until Sept. 23 before it's no longer on Hulu.

Another notable movie on the chopping block is the 2022 musical drama "Taurus." This film stars Machine Gun Kelly alongside his on-again, off-again partner Megan Fox, as the singer plays a rising but troubled musician who searches for the inspiration to record his next song. But amid reports that the pair might be back together, Hulu is only keeping this film in its catalog until Sept. 2.

The streamer is also saying goodbye to several documentaries this month, including "American Rapstar," "The Cove," and "Racing Extinction."

Concerned about what other movies will be disappearing from Hulu throughout the next month? Stacker compiled a list of the movies leaving Hulu in September using data from Reelgood. IMDb ratings and other data points were added for supplementary insights.
